Small Groups

Building Community

We believe that God made us to exist in community.  Small groups are a great way to make lifelong friends and get involved in the church!  Whether in Sunday morning classes, choir, midweek bible studies, or ministry groups, we have a place for you.  Click here to see our Sunday Morning options, contact Chris Maricle for details on serving with others or class recommendations, or Pastor Jim Stilwell for current Bible studies.  And, please, scroll through the tabs to see what else we offer!

Men's Ministry

Men’s Breakfast

Every 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m

Come fellowship with other men in our church and start with our Men’s Breakfast! It’s a great way to meet other men in a relaxed setting over fantastic food prepared by our own cooks. We usually have a speaker to share their life and spiritual journey, singing, and prayer. Our ministry is also about helping others as we have our Helping Hands group of guys to help those in need with minor repairs and maintenance. Those in need may include: those with mental or physical challenges, senior members, and single mothers just trying to make it through life. Helping Hands will take on a variety of projects that may include some handiwork, projects at the church, or bigger handy work jobs for those in great need. We periodically have our Car Care Clinic where we inspect, identify car concerns, and clean the interior of vehicles.

Retreat

First weekend of March each year

The ministry has an annual retreat at Camp Egan the first weekend of March each year and we have been doing this for over 12 years. It’s a great time to help strengthen our faith in Jesus. We are always looking for other spiritual events that may come up periodically for our men to attend. We like to follow the scripture in Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Journey Groups

Meets every other week

Journey to the Inner Chamber is a small group experience for men.  We meet every other week for discussion and prayer around the book “Journey to the Inner Chamber”. Written in 2004 by Rocky Fleming, a businessman from Arkansas, the book is a creative allegory that tells of a pathway to a more intimate, vital, vibrant, and abiding relationship with Christ. Get a copy of the book ($12) at the welcome center or in the office and make plans to be part of this spiritual journey experience.

Women's Ministry

Christ Church Women’s Ministry is open to all women of the church as well as friends and family. Our mission is to provide events and activities that promote growth in our relationships with God, with each other and with women in our community. We know that strong relationship with other Christian women builds stronger faith and support among our ladies.

Saturday Brunch

Join us for a lovely morning filled with fun, fellowship, and food. Twice a year our Women’s Ministry Team hosts an event that you do not want to miss. You will enjoy a lovely meal surrounded by many genuine women that have gathered to grow in Christ and friendship. Everyone needs an opportunity to relax and enjoy the love and companionship that comes when spending time with the woman of Christ in our community.

Weekly Bible Studies (Spring/Fall)

Twice a year we offer an opportunity to connect in a small group setting and really dive into the Word of God. These small groups are offered Tuesday nights and Wednesday mornings to fit everyone’s busy schedule. There is power in the communion of women prayer warriors. You will have the opportunity to grow and learn as you pursue God together.

Women’s Retreat

Every year we are blessed to be able to take time away from our busy schedules to get away and grow closer with God. During our overnight retreat you will have the chance to build relationships with other woman in our church through fun activities, fellowship, worship, and more. You will truly become refreshed and more on fire for God through this amazing experience.

Women’s Craft Event

Sometimes girls just want to have fun! We offer a chance for you to get to do just that through our crafting events! We create a project for you to be able to complete and take home with you that day. Lots of fun and laughter to be had while we spend time together and unleash our creative sides!
