As we begin 2023 Pastor Bob is launching a new message series based on Jesus’ words to seven churches recorded in Revelation 2-3.   In His letters, our Lord pays a pastoral visit to seven different first-century local churches and tailors a message fitting to each.   In addressing the congregations, Jesus’ words include encouragement, instruction, warning, and promise. These were real churches filled with real people struggling with real problems.  Though 2000 years separate us from them, their issues are not much different from our own.  As we go through the seven letters, we will see ourselves and our own church in a new light.

There is great wonder and encouragement in the story of Jesus’ incarnation and birth. It’s always fascinating to remember the different characters of the Christmas story, and what their experiences mean for all of us. Come each Sunday of Advent, ready to experience the “Wonder of Christmas.”

A special service centered around the Scriptural practice of “Giving Thanks”! With Psalm 100 as our text, we will “enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.

Can you remember what it feels like to be really thirsty? I recall times in the summer growing up when a cold glass of water was the best thing ever! There are times in our lives when we find ourselves spiritually thirsty. We are parched, we are dry in soul and spirit because of the heat of everyday life, and we know we could use a drink of living water. But how do we get it? Where do we go for the water that will truly satisfy our soul? Over the next few weeks of this “Transformed Life” series we will ponder where we are now in our journey with God and consider where we want to go. Looking at stories and passages from the Scripture we’ll reflect on the life-giving water that Jesus spoke about and steps we can take together to experience it.
